Running in foul weather.
I started running regularly in June mainly as a means to loose weight and stay healthy. My grandfather picked up running when he was in his 50’s and averaged 10 miles a day. I’m only doing about 3 miles a day, usually about 10 miles a week. I started enjoying the benefits of running first, and then later the actual event itself. Today was my first foul weather run and I actually enjoyed it quite a bit. This is shocking to me, because two years ago, I’d say that you would have to be crazy to run in 40 degree windy and rainy weather. Why bother?
I can’t really describe why it was fun, but there was something about being closer to nature and my own limits that became apparent as I was running. It was a great experience and I look forward to doing it again.
Oh, and Jenny came with me in her jog stroller. She slept the whole way. Its like instant nap time for her. We get in the stroller and before we’ve done a quarter of a mile, she is out cold.
Late night blogging.
I should be asleep right now, but I’m not. Started working on the blog at 10pm and got into a groove. I just realized that its now 2am. I am so hurting tomorrow because Jenny will be up at 8am like clock work.
I added a new comment system from Intense Debate and a new image gallery feature that lets you view images in popups. It also provides some other nice features like slide shows. All of my images are powered by Flickr.
I also added various links to the navigation. Facebook is a good one. If you have a Facebook account, you should add me as your friend. I often cross post things between this blog and my Facebook account. I wouldn’t be surprised if two years from now I only used Facebook.
Good night.

I took this one of Jenny climbing a fake armadillo (spelling?) at the Domain shopping center in Austin.
